Chairman Message

Bangladesh with its 165 million people is one of the most densely populated countries, eighth among the most populous in the world. Progressively we are stepping towards building a nation, where the human capital we have will be globally acknowledged as skilled workforce for all professional field. To this vision, Japan Bangladesh Friendship Foundation aims to contribute by growing a nation of skilled healthcare professionals, trained to meet the needs of ever evolving healthcare sector and explore the wide range of global opportunities in Healthcare Service.

Nurses have been around for nearly two millennia in the healthcare sector. At present serving in a much different capacity than they used to do during the foundation period of this profession, since the landscape of healthcare industry continues to evolve and grow. The estimation of the Bureau of Labor Statistics states that, the profession will grow by 12 percent from 2018 to 2028, much faster than all other occupations. That makes the need for a workforce of highly professional nurses critical.

According to The World Health Organization, nurses and midwives account for nearly 50% of the global health workforce. However, they also represent 50% of the global shortage of health workers, and I believe Japan Bangladesh Friendship Foundation can contribute to minimize the deficiency faster for Bangladesh as well for the Global Village.

The Japan Bangladesh Friendship Foundation was founded and being managed by eminent healthcare professionals of the country, who are globally recognized as well. It has completed its journey of around 13 years in the field of Health Care Education since its establishment in 2008. As a Team, we aim to groom our students with perfect professionalism and excel them in other handful skills to complement their professional skill (for instance; computer, e-learning, presentation, and communication). We are advanced in providing placement facility for our students in renowned Hospitals/ Institutes to ensure their sound career. As the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, I welcome the students to our Institute to learn and serve the global community through this novel profession. Best wishes for all your future endeavors.
